About Shanelle

Hair that flows with you

Born and raised on the island of Kaua‘i, I moved to O‘ahu in 2019 to pursue my passion in the beauty industry — and I’ve been here ever since, building a life and career that I love.

I studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell The School in Honolulu and went on to assist at The Foundry in Kailua, where I gained experience in cutting, color, and client care. From there, I began working at Muse Hawaii, where I’ve continued growing behind the chair — offering personalized cuts and color in a space that values intention, creativity, and client connection.

I’m a hairstylist who believes great hair should feel as good as it looks.

Background

Before I found my way to hair, I studied pre-nursing, worked in restaurants, and did makeup professionally at MAC Cosmetics. Those experiences taught me how to connect with different kinds of people, pay close attention to detail, and create with care — all of which shape how I approach every client in my chair.

Outside of work, I’m a homebody at heart. I used to go out more in my late teens and early twenties, but these days, I’m happiest recharging at home with my boyfriend and our three cats (aka our kids), cleaning, or getting into a good K-drama or anime. I used to be a coffee fiend, but now I’ve swapped caffeine for quiet mornings and calm energy. I still love the buzz of the city and traveling when I can — but at my core, I’m an introvert who genuinely enjoys one-on-one connections.

My approach is thoughtful and tailored — blending technical skill with an intuitive sense for what will suit your natural texture, features, and lifestyle.

I focus on creating looks that move with you and grow out seamlessly. Every appointment is one-on-one, never rushed, and always centered on you feeling confident, seen, and effortlessly put-together.
